- A dual-mode backlight can be programmed to operate as a full-time or part-time LED backlight
- In the part-time setting the LED backlight is activated for 5 seconds when the mode button is pressed to enable data to be viewed at a glance
- Using the full-time setting, the backlight is activated when motion is detected by the speed sensor and remains on until the rider comes to a stop
